Today the BA 1867 - EDI to MAN - was operated by Flightline (never heared of then until now) with an all-white 146 (G-DEBE - ex-Debonair??) and the return BA 1709 - MAN to EDI - was operated by Titan with another all-white 146. Are BA Citiexpress so short of aircraft and/or crews that they are having to sub out flights? Or do they have aircraft out of service and are bring in capacity for a limited time? I'm not complaining. Both flights are scheduled to operate with an ATP so a 146 was a welcome surprise!!:D

Flightline and Titan have been around longer than many of the people who post on these forums.
Both are well established in the charter market, and specialise in filling in for scheduled operators at short notice, often providing a higher level of service to passengers than the customer they're working for ever does.:D

niknak - I have absolutely no complaints about the service. It was good in both directions. The Flighline aircraft had BA magazines in the seat pocket which makes me think it is a longer term arrangement. The Titan aircraft did not. Both flights were operated with only two cabin crew so I would imagine capacity was restricted.

yes, G-DEBE is ex-Debonair..on a -200 2 cabin crew does not restrict anything...

Yep, many of these services are being operated by the short notice charter outifts because BACX are unable to organise a p. up in a brewery, let alone a reliable scheduled operation. Expect more of the same as managerial incompetence and p. poor aircraft servicabilty transform the reliable regional operation into a shambles.

Yes, I too have been flown to Paris from Bristol in a Titan aircraft; 146 on one occasion, and ATR on the other.
Frankly cabin service was much superior to Brymon's (BA) on the Emb 145.
I guess Brymon will either smarten their act up or die; out of Bristol they have competition on domestic routes from GO, and AF have just announced 3 flights a day to Paris starting in October.
