A 3 year adjustment preiod has ended in my country and now I have to start logging according to JAR. The thing is I like my old Jeppesen FAA logbook which only has 2 pages left. I also bought a new one, the big Jeppesen one, 2 years ago when I was in the US.

So I ask: Can I finish my current one and use the new one if I add the OFF BLOCKS and ON BLOCKS time in the remarks column, presuming that's the only thing missing between the FAA one and the JAR? Can anybody tell me why the JAR logbook is better than the FAA one? Do people in other JAR countrys get to finish their older books etc.?

I don't especially like the new JAR type logbooks from Jeppesen. They don't even seem to have a column for cross country. Anyway please reply if you have a thought about this.

I vote for the old CAA logbook. Not an option available above.

Don't know whatan FAA log book looks like, but I hate the JAR one - the layout is not logical and it doesn't keep a record of ME hours.

cheers!
