What does CRM, FO and FE mean? It just keeps on croping up in forums.
Sorry for being thick, I'm not a pilot.

CRM- crew resource management - basically the human factors side of multi crew cooperaton(MCC) two pilot A/C
FO - first officer the dude in the right hand seat and two maybe three bars
FE - not sure probably flight engineer (old 747, 727 types) dude who sits behind the two pilots
why is abbreviation such a long word?
