What is the score with jump seat rides on airliners post 9/11. I have been to reluctant to ask crew as I have brown skin so this now automatically makes me a terrorist!!:confused:
As an unemployed fATPL holder it would be nice to see and talk to the folks upfront.

Your skin color makes no difference, especially now. With a very few exceptions for those employed inside the industry in very specific capacities, the answer for others appears to be "no" -- no matter what. Here are links to recent jumpseat question threads:

You can go "up front," look around and chat with the crew after the flight, at the gate.
