I know it’s probably a silly question,
But are US sold headsets exactly the same as UK sold headsets,
i.e. there is not a compatibility difference; a DC H10-13.4 sold in the US is the same as a DC H10-13.4 sold here in the UK?

Potter1,

Yes. I bought a headset (a DC H10-13.4, as it happens) in the US, and it works perfectly over here.

It's not a silly question, but remember that 90% of the light aircraft you'll be flying are also made in the USA. You shouldn't have any problem.

I bought a basic headset in the US for about a hundred bucks, including tax, which was a real bargain and works perfectly over here.

One slight variaion might be if the headset is has ANR and re-chargable batteries. The charger may come with a US-style plug if bought in the US.
