The media seem undecided about whether recent torrential rain events at DXB were precipitated by cloud-seeding.

Does anyone have any concrete evidence whether this was the case? (Cloud-seed pilots perhaps)

Would be good to know which media exactly is undecided.

I am not yet allowed to post links.
Pls. see also the other thread "Dubai airport flooded".

Evidence to the contrary:
- official press note from UAR weather service NCM said no cloud seeding oparations at that time
- the storm system was already developed and forecast, cloud seeding would not have made sense even if the expactation would hava been to avoid flodding and have it rain elsewhere.
- cloud seeding does not produce rain, it just causes premature release of water content in clouds, but even that is debated.
- there is a first attribution stating that climate change made that event more probable to happen and more intense in its outcome

Several other extreme flooding events have happened since then, for instance in east Africa (Kenya) and at several locations in China.

Cloud seeding was in progress last November and December without any results across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. It's a frequent practice.

The storms that hit Dubai formed in the Bahrain/Saudi/Qatar region and hit Qatar first so I'd suggest 'seeding' unlikely.
