Does anyone think its right for an examiner to charge their fee for a test that was cancelled SIX days ahead of the proposed test date!

I'd say that depends on the circumstances, including the reason for cancellation and any terms or conditions that the examiner may or may not have in place.

I would just charge on completion of test. If it gets cancelled for any reason, i just take it on the chin. We are use to last minute things not working out.

But having seen a recent US video on flight training costs, what do you think of PPL $800 for a test.

I charge £200.

What sort of test, PPL type or commercial?
