For those who remember him at LATCC etc, I'm sorry to tell you that Charlie Dwarika recently passed away. I gather he became something of a legend during his 31 years as a controller - 1965 to 1996. This followed 12 years as a Fleet Air Arm all weather fighter observer, where he was equally expert and legendary - from Sea Venoms at Suez to Sea Vixens.

Very sad news, Charlie was a true gent in every sense of the word. Always had a lot of time for the younger members of staff. RIP Charlie

Sad news. Charlie was my training manager when I arrived at LATCC in 1987. RIP

Charlies son helped re-build my house back in 1995.
