Hi everybody

in my company which is flying high altitude airports have started discussing doing no bleed take off’s.

i agree that it would give a benefit with no bleeds during the take off.
I have been discussing it with the other colleagues. I’ve been flying the 767 for almost 14 years.
the only procedure I know is the pack off take off.

I am pretty sure there are no calculations for no bleed take off’s since I’m very sure that the 767 can’t do it because of the ADP that needs the bleed from the engine(s).
According to the Center duct line it looks like the APU might feed bleeds as well. Some of the other guys claim that the APU will supply the air needed for the take off.

I get the idea, but I don’t agree. But does anybody know where we can find an official statement that the 767 cannot do “no bleed” take off’s?

If I’m wrong let me know as well.

Regards to fellow airmen. Fly safe.

Look at your FCOM supplementary procedures. If it's not there, it probably can't do it.

How about somebody asks Boeing about it?
Personally I can't see this ever being approved coz, as Blackie says, the ADPs need AIR from bleeds to work.
