Hello Fellow Aviators,

So I'm a pilot in training and just got done with FAA PPL and onto CPL with ME/IR. My school provides the option to attempt the EASA ATPL theory exam with the current flight training. I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this thread.
My questions are,
1) Would it be feasible to learn the ATPL theory alongside while pursuing the mentioned licenses or should it be done after acquiring all of it.
2) And what would be the requirements to complete all 14 papers?

A little heads-up, I'm an international student here, and prefer to work somewhere in the Middle-East.

Thanks guys!

It would slow things down tremendously. The theory alone is 6 months full time, double that if done part time.

Thanks for your response.

The Middle east will take any licence for conversion. They took my UK ATP with a Canadian IR. If you don't need EASA, don't do it.

Right, I didn't know about that.
Thank you.
