I'm flying out to Montreal from London Gatwick on Sunday on TS279, and am wondering which aircraft type I shall be on.

Smooth skies

Hello. Thank you for your reply, but can I ask where you obtained that knowledge? Just that I checked out Air Transat's website and it doesn't tell you the route's aircraft.

Tonic,

There's a book you can buy for £8.00 called "Flight Routings" with flight numbers, callsigns, aircraft types etc in. I got mine from WH Smiths, but I haven't seen any in there for a while. Perhaps your local spotters shop might have a copy.

Cheers

I flew Gatwick to Mirabel with Air Transat last year. You should be warned that although they do operate A310s on the route, they also use TriStars.
lthough ancient, it's a far better a/c in terms of leg room etc. Unfortunately, if you get a L1011. expect to tech stop in Gander for fuel. Arrived in YMX 3 hours late. Still better than a flight in one fo their Airbuses though...appallingly cramped!
