View Full Version : Renewing Canadian IFR for ATPL if not in an ICAO country

Been out of Canadian aviation for a long time. I heard a rumor (started some time ago) that if you do a ride in a non ICAO country for your airline you can get your Canadian IFR renewed and revive the ATPL. Was told this may be a thing now Tried to reach transport and apparently those in the know are hiding. Just trying to avoid the expense and hassle of renewing the IFR the old way. Obviously I will need to do the Canuck medical.
Can anyone weigh in on this or if you have a useful number besides the 1-800 TC number. I did send an email to them but no answer.
