Hello everyone! Trying to puzzle out global regulations hierarchy and not everything is clear. So there are countries that follow ICAO rules with some differences also there are countries that accept U.S. rules , or charge their own. During our operations we may see this in ATC chapter of Jepp. Flying A320 I see that in AFM most of the certification requirements are followed with EASA regulations. But EASA Air Ops ducument covers all parts of air operations from airport lightning , to PIC respinsibilites etc. So my qustion is : Is EASA regulations are written in accordance with ICAO standarts? Whereby this regulations to be applied ? I appreciate any reference! Thank you!

Hi Segei,

all the EASA publications are derived from Implementing Regulations that are discussed and promulgated at the European Council level taking into account the different ICAO annexes. All EASA member States are ICAO contracting States and follow the associated protocols. Best thing is to navigate the EASA website in order to gather more knowledge on the Agency.
