OUR NATIONAL AVIATION AUTHORITY ESTABLISHES THIS
FLIGHT TIME LIMITATIONS:
2 PILOTS 08 HRS. FLIGHT TIME.....................13 HRS. ON DUTY.
3 PILOTS 11 HRS. FLIGHT TIME.....................17 HRS. ON DUTY.
3 PILOTS PLUS DIGITAL FLIGHT SYSTEMS ......15 HRS. FLIGHT TIME
AND 21 HRS. ON DUTY.
As a result of our inquires to FAA, JAA, ICAO, and regional
operators, we have not found any relevance in the relation
between flying hours and digital flying systems when establishing
the number of Pilots necessary to long haul flights.
We appreciate if you could clarify or give your advice on this
matter of safety that concerns us all.
