Does anyone have any information on hiring a light aircraft (PA28 or C172) for a week's sight seeing around Arizona and Utah? What would the approximate costs be?

ASG at St George Utah, a two hour drive northeast of Las Vegas, has a couple of 180 hp 172s w/ dual G5 and 430W for 140 USD/h wet. Also has a PA24-250 at 140 USD/h dry, in case you're tempted. Tax 6.75 per cent.

Thanks, it’s a start and worth looking into. We’re not thinking of going until next summer so just doing some research right now.

I've rented from the Colorado Flight Centre, Grand Junction, mainly flying over Utah. Cheapest on their site today is a C172 at $135 per hour.
Walking distance from Motel 6 and several more expensive hotels. Denny's and Outback Steakhouse as well as fastfood outlets.
Google for their website.

If you're heading out that way you might enjoy Jay Philip Williams's Luscombe Road Trip 2020 (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1uN0DvRAjYEgmn-O4aPFyw/playlists), parts 7 and 8, on Youtube. He only took up flying recently.
