Hi guys,

Does anyone have a neat way of measuring runway distance to intersections on the ipad using FD Pro? I used to use the checkin sheet and the scale on a paper chart and figure it out that way but trying that with the ipad means the screen can move or worse, zoom in or out. Any ideas?

Thanks

The new version of Flitedeck Pro now has that feature when you are on the AMM. You can toggle distance to intersections on and off.

….after you have selected a runway by tapping on the threshold….

When are they going to have the ability to Type notes in a Text Box on the charts instead of having to do chicken scratch with your fingers?

which version of FD Pro has this option? I’m using FD Pro X 4.3.2 and can’t find this function for distance to exits on the AMM chart, with a runway selected.

cheers

Pro X 4.4 has it. AAM page and select Ldg Dist option on the right side.

Does Foreflight have that function? If yes, one day FD Pro will as well.

And AMM is a customer option I think.

At my LOCO, it may be a while before we get these upgrades. You know, saving costs and all😩

AMM is a customer option and can be specific to airports. That’s directly from the FD Pro help guide about the AMM.

lock the screen by hitting that lock button on the top right of the screen. it wont scroll or zoom.

I suppose it depends on the airports you visit. Usually, at the airports with simpler layouts (1 runway and a parallel taxiway), it’s not available. I assume they’ll eventually get to those though.

It’s also a ton more useful when the iPad gps actually works…

I do miss the Moving map on the 787 ND, with the auto scale adjustment at about 60kts on landing, a very nice feature when unfamiliar with the Airport or Low Vis.

That's also available on the A320. My airline didn't opt for it either.
