Hello,

I have the intentions to do the IRI(A) and CRI(ME) courses to add to my EASA license. Could the right honorable members of this forum provide me with information about an affordable ATO where I could do them in a timely manner? Preferably in Europe.

Cheers,

Rui

Goodday,
The more detail you give the more useful detail you may expect to receive from this forum.
What EASA licence issued by which EASA Member State do you hold, which ratings currently held, and where obtained(location, training provider)?
Any particular geographical area where you would want to exercise your CRI/IRI? Might affect you choice of training location ...

G’day mate,

I have a Portuguese EASA CPL with ATPL theory, obtained in a Portuguese ATO, unrestricted FI(A) rating with endorsements (a),(b),(e) and (f), SEP, MEP, IR(ME) ratings. I would like to exercise them around the EASA world and, eventually, move back to the land down under.

Cheers,

Rui

The cost of the course is likely to be much the same wherever you do it. Perhaps its best to look at the type of aircraft used on the course and choose something that you are likely to teach on afterwards. If you are going to teach on a DA42 then doing a ME CRI course on a Duchess, Seminole or Seneca might not be the most cost effective in the end. The IRI course can be done on a single.

From first-hand or near-first-hand experience and with a view on quality-first (Standards!): On-Track Aviation in Wellisbourne UK (dual UK/EASA-approved) and FTE Jerez Spain. The former with the UK withdrawn from the EU perhaps less likely an environment for exercising your expanded FI privileges, but great quality of training valuable anywhere in the EU, or the world. Same for the latter, and without the restriction.

Hope you receive more recommendations for training and work elsewhere and I suppose you know about options in Portugal already.

Good luck.
