If anyone remembers this thread recounting an unpleasant series of experiences I had in a C172, it appears that this aircraft flew into a hill last night killing both on board according to this tweet
I don't know who was flying or what happened, but the bloke I was flying with typically flew it on that route. That hill is at over 7,000' but is 30 miles off the straight line course between HKNW and HKMO which appears to have been their plan.
