Well they've certainly fired a shot at the competition, that cabin is huge! Going to be nice for those that worked hard enough to sit back there.

Interested by the single thrust lever though. Top of my head I can't remember this being used anywhere else on multiengine aircraft. Ill be interested to see how that is managed in situations where you want to fly with reduced thrust on one side, vibrations or stalling at high revs that reduce at mid power for example.

In fact the more I think about it I'm struggling to see a real world benefit?

It has got the most important bit right - the cabin.

I too am struggling with the single power lever. I can’t think what advantages it offers over a conventional layout.
likewise the ‘lie flat’ seat. I’ve had power naps in the seat, but you are always disturbed by something. Presumably they have already discussed it with the regulators but I wouldn’t want to take any FTL credit for it!

I am intrigued by the auto-recovery system and how that would work - what enables it to recover in the event of, say, an ADS failure? Or is it only of use when pilots screw up flying a perfectly serviceable aircraft?

Certainly was, some 200 built in the 1970s and 1980s. French Navy still use them and a fair few civvy examples flying I believe.

Agree Falcons look rather ugly now - the Falcon 50 was the most elegant of the series.

Lie flat pilot seat is Dassault's way to make use of the soon-to-be released regulations on single pilot cruise operations. EASA, on the manufacturer's request, is planning this for 2023.

I know 19 hours flight duty period with basic flight crew are common in business operations, but after that, this will be legal.

Good one. I was thinking sturgeon. It's a bit odd for a legacy of planes that used to look sharp, like, what was it again, oh yes, like falcons. Otherwise a beautiful design.

There is no clacker at all in this digital Fly By Wire aircraft, and no trim wheel. Very quiet flight deck. The only noise comes from the galley when somebody is working or speaking there.
