Hi all,

While this is only very, very tenuously linked to Aviation history, I can’t think of anywhere else to ask this.

I remember at the height of the search for MH370, the sonar operators found previously unknown shipwrecks at the bottom of the Indian Ocean, possibly dating from the 1800s. Has there been any further effort to identify or otherwise explore them?

To widen the question somewhat, have any other accident investigations turned up unexpected archaeological or other unknown discoveries?

Stay safe all.

The wrecks are 2 miles deep on a very remote location.
It has been determined that they were coal barges.
Nothing of value or historical important.
Nobody will invest money in a recovery.
