Hi all,
I have a question for EASA licence holders, this is for my research. For licence renewal, other than paying for the cost of medical examination, are there other fees that you have to pay? For example, admin fee to schedule the doctor appointment, admin fee to obtain your renewed licence? Would appreciate any info.

Thanks much!!

EASA licences are valid for life, there is no renewal.

Medical fees vary by AME as will any ancillary fees applicable. My own AME doesn't charge any admin fees etc but does charge more when an ECG etc is required.

Ratings held within the licence will have associated costs to keep them current, but these will be examiner fees, sim fees, aircraft fees etc but not anything directly for the act of re-validating the rating.

If the authority is required to re-issue the licence for the addition of a rating, change of detail etc then each authority will have their own set fees for these things.
