Anyone still remember the flight schedule of Air Canada in 1988? I need help to identify the AC aircraft that i was on.

I took a trans-Canada flight on Air Canada in summer of 1988. As a beginner level in aviation at the age of 10, I had no idea what type of aircraft i was on. My light memory told me that it was a wide body jet with two aisles. I hope anyone who was familiar with the summer schedule of AC in 1988 can help to to recall the aircraft type. Currently, i am trying to identify each aircraft type on my each flight since i was born, and this is my last piece of mystery.

Here are some more clues:
Widebody either L1011 or 747M .. may be 762
flight from Toronto->Calgary->Vancouver.
Departed from Toronto in mid afternoon and arrived in Vancouver at about 830pm.
I was in the first class, therefore i didnt remember the typical sitting in economy class.
Very friendly services!
Old red color scheme!

Any help with be appreciated!

Both the L1011 and the 767 were used on those runs in '88. You can discount the 747, the company had no Airbusses and they were usually doing overseas operations.

You're making my head hurt trying to remember First-class seat configurations
from the days when it was actually first and not business. Given the few times I flew up front, thats not surprising.

So I'm afraid thats all I can do for you. It's a 50/50 shot now, unless you can remember if the back was 3/5/3 or 2/4/2?

767 Y seating is/was 2-3-2, L1011 3-4-3. Only 747s were 3-5-3 on AC. My guess would be a 762, I think the L1011 only did YYZ-YVR non-stops. I could well be wrong, my focus back then was with the 'other' airline. Aaah.

You're right. It was/is 2/3/2 and 3/4/3. Unfortunately the front on both was likely 2/2/2. No help there.
