I have an old Kindle, bought in 2011, which refuses to see any Wi-Fi networks. I've tried re-booting by holding down the power button for >30 seconds without success, has anybody got any (polite) suggestions as to what I can do with it?

It's running software version 4.1.4.

If the WiFi is goosed not worth repairing, can get them in Cash Converters etc for £30 long as you don't mind it being an old model.
Only other thing that I thought of and it's a long shot is that your router is only broadcasting 5GHZ 802.11n or ac which the Kindle can't see as it's only 2.4GHZ 802.11g or b, but that's highly unlikely as it would still pick up your neighbours.

I think it is going to go to the recycling bin in the sky, my laptop sees four Wi-Fi networks at a good signal strength.https://ops-normal.org/download/file.php?id=12900&t=1.

I thought, to be on the safe side I'd reset the Kindle to delete my email etc., so I did a factory reset and and it has resurrected itself, everything working as it should, I just needed to re-register it to the kindle account and it downloaded all my content in null komma nix!
