Just priced two trips, one ORK-LHR-YYZ [524 Euro, about 780 CAD or so] and YYZ-ORK-LHR, same day, opposite flights [1215 CAD, about 800 Euro] [BA.com]

I have noticed this yawning gap before, and it seems to apply to AC too. Why, does anyone know?

I might just guess that the airline folks believe there is more demand at the time you're traveling from Canada to Ireland than Ireland to Canada.

Well, the fare seem to be equally skewed on the YYZ-LHR legs as far as I can see, and the 747-400 ex LHR the other day was full to the gills... puzzling.
