Hello,

Commendable everyone is managing complete salary cut, personally barely managing, the only good news; flights are reopening with strict measures.

What I wanted to ask was how are you personally changing your habits in the cockpit the cab ride and hotel layover.

For me it's;
*stroller flight bags in non layover flights and and in the cab with no aircon, open windows slightly to prevent outside erroneous contact.
*arrive at dispatch and sign documents
*Leave for bay moving thru security, showing Id from afar no body touching my i.d tag
* Hoping spectacles help in prevention of eyes contracting the virus, are you guys wearing your sunglasses or full fledged goggles?
*Wiping down of switches with antiviral wipes of benzalconium chloride which is quickly becoming boring and time consuming.
* Not wearing headsets everything on speaker except in sterile cockpit procedures
*Are you eating the airline food heated in the ovens or heating up your own home made food in them?
*Exiting the aircraft only once pax disembarked
* Cab ride to hotel same way
*No gym pool or sauna YouTube videos for exercise inside the room
*Are you guys ordering in room service or going to the buffet?
* Are uva UVB rays harmful and promote virus particles to longer? are you guys shading up the windows etc?

Any other change that you have made?

Any food or mineral supplement to get more immunity?

Would be good for a share here possibly would save a fellow from getting it bad.

It's a worthwhile thing to think about when you come from countries that have got COVID-19 under control and visiting those that haven't.

It's not about being paranoid, but a few small things can make the difference. Having been involved in risk mitigation for this thing since back in January I would say....

1. Mask in public areas.
2. Small bottle of hand santizer. Use after you touch anything not yours.
3. Use isowipes or equivalent to wipe down iPad and iPhone screens too
4. Don't use anyone else's pen on checkin / dispatch sign.
5. Take some isowipes in a ziplock bag. use them on the major touch points in hotel rooms - the phone, door handles, light switches.
6. Use the corner of the keycard to press the elevator lift.
7. Room service. No buffet.

I wouldn't say don't use headset - just wipe down the mouthpiece. Or bring your own.
Not concerned about eating the food. No evidence of COVD being transmitted by food.
I'm not so worried about the pax on the aircraft given the aircon as discussed elsewhere , it's the aerobridge - a metal table with minimal airflow that's the riskiest.

Nothing is a huge change (except being stuck inside) just being aware and sensible.
