Kuwait will halt all commercial flights to and from the Gulf Arab state starting Friday and until further notice, with the exception of cargo flights, state news agency KUNA said on Wednesday.

Authorities also announced a public holiday in the country from March 12 to March 26, with work resuming on March 29, KUNA said, adding that entities providing vital services would remain open.

It said people were banned from going to restaurants and cafes, including those inside malls.

So much for that cheap vacation to Italy. When I heard about flights there for $200 I was going to go.

We’ve cancelled planned trips to Belfast, Dublin & London.

And no holiday booked this year.

Well, here we are, Friday has arrived and at 08:26 I can see Ryanair & Air Malta are quite busy in Italy!
Among others, there is FR2672, on approach to Rome from Stansted and FR1832 en route from Stansted to Naples. In total, it looks as if there are around 10 Ryanair flights in to or out of Italy this morning.

CEJM: That's different from the first report (post #2).
Post #8 quoted an article saying Kuwait Airways will stop all commercial flights starting Friday. That didn't stop 9K-AOI arriving at Heathrow at around 13:30 today!
