Reasons to divert from LCY to STN?

I heard BA3296 (https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ba3296#23f64f19) (G-LCYK ERJ 190-100 SR) diverted yesterday from LCY to STN and landed with the fire service in attendance. It was announced as an unspecified, minor technical fault. What would be the possible reasons for that trip to EGSS?

I don't think weather was a factor, btw:

They do that on purpose to annoy the snobs who say 'I never fly from Stansted, it's too common for me. I only fly from City'.

Or more likely these was indeed a minor technical issue (relating to flight controls, hydraulics/brakes or whatever else) that made a landing at LCY an unwise decision as it has a short runway and steeper than normal approaches.

Brakes/Hydraulics most likely I would hazard a guess.

Additionally, BA may have less resources at London City for troubleshooting, and the space available at the airfield is less, so having a plane "stuck" these U/S is more of a problem. So even if it had been possible to land, it might have been operationally inconvenient to get back out again.
