Hello,

Just wondering, in the event of a TR failure, would the DC Voltmeter for the affected TR show 0? I know the ammeter shows 0, but am unsure of the voltmeter. One of my friends believes that it will show the voltage of the DC Bus since it is connected in parallel between the TR & DC bus. We’re developing a 747-200 for XP11 and cannot seem to figure this out.

Regards,
Rob

Don't know about the 747 but on most aircraft the Transformer/Rectifiers supply the DC bus through a diode to protect the bus from TR faults. So in answer to your question, the voltage should read zero for the failed TR.

Okay, thank you!
