Hi,

I am currently doing my LAPL and hope to finish it up weather permitting in the next couple of months.

I understand that after this there is a minimum 10 hours solo before I can carry passengers. I also understand if I want to fly microlights I can do this with differences training.

My question is: If I do the differences training before the 10 hours have been completed can I carry passengers in microlights prior to completing the 10 hours solo requirement on the LAPL?

The reason I ask is more curiosity as I plan to take my Dad up for a pleasure flight and was just trying to work out timings vs. money etc.

I am in no hurry to bypass any safety precautions in place as I say I was just curious.

The 10 hour limitation is a condition of the LAPL and applies to exercising the privilege of that licence. If you were to obtain a NPPL with Microlight rating there would be no such restriction.
