A private aircraft
with three people on board crashed on take-off at a
private airport near the village of Ballingarry in Limerick today.
The plane, which was being flown by a professional pilot, appeared to lose power on take off and ploughed through a ditch and into a field.
It is believed that neither the pilot nor the two passengers, an elderly couple, have life threatening injuries.
They are being treated at the Accident and Emergency unit at Limerick Regional Hospital.
