I am looking for the following ICAO legacy document:

ICAO Standing Committee on Performance
Final Report
DOC 7401 Air/Ops/612
Montreal, August 1953

Can anybody please post a link yo this document ?

I don't think you'll find a link. Despite much searching for the same, I eventually gave up in frustration.

However, I have copies courtesy of those two fine chaps, Zuff and Owain Glyndwr. Indeed, the former's copy has names on the cover which provide a history of performance and flight test Who's Who (or, perhaps, was) in the Australian Regulator over many years.

When I get my head above the present waters in which I am swimming, I shall scan a copy and it will be available. I can't imagine that ICAO would be too concerned about copyright 70 years on ?

Sitting down with the book is a bit like sitting at one's great-grandfather's knee as a small child to be told the family history in some detail ...

I've PM'ed you a link to what appears to be a scanned version of the document. Can't post any links since I've not yet reached the 10 post limit.

Perhaps you can send it to me and, if it looks OK, I'll post it for you.

HaithTrust Digital Library hosts a copy digitised by Google from an edition in the UC ITS library. See HathiTrust catalogue record 010386114 (link (https://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/010386114)) or access the first page in the viewer directly (link (https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uc1.b5079799&view=1up&seq=1)). A zip archive containing images of each page is available here (link (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1t2EjdXumZO3U-Cm73E8lRjK8o-UBKlae)).

Indeed, an easy download for the sake of collating the results into a pdf file. Well done. regards, John

Indeed, an easy download for the sake of collating the results into a pdf file.

I had a quick look at the download and found that the Windows Photo Viewer allowed me to step through the pages in the right order from the beginning. Only trouble was that the zoom required to be adjusted for each page.

Screen is 1366 x 768. With a taller screen this may not be necessary.

The mixed image file formats were as presented in HathiTrust's viewer (link (https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uc1.b5079799&view=1up&seq=1)). A searchable pdf based on those is here (link (https://drive.google.com/open?id=12-zN1kMnijWSeQjTISTEiSf6aKFbhpz2) - 36 MB). Perhaps unreadable pages could be supplemented by selective scans from John T's copy. WorldCat lists hard copies as being available at the British Library, the National Library of Scotland, the Complutense University of Madrid library, and the UC Berkeley Northern Regional Library Facility. There might also be hard copies in the Farnborough Air Sciences Museum archive or at Cranfield University.

When time permits it should be a no-brainer to end up with a good copy from several source documents.
