Hi to All

I need some help!!
1.Where can I find a "free" weight and balance graph for a PA28-151 a/c
2.Does anyone have an "easy" formula for calculating the weight and balance of any a/c (its been a while since I had to worry about this problem!!)

Thank you in advance for any replies

I have an Excel spreadsheet that I can email you. You will probably have to change the arm settings to suit your ac.

email me if you would like a copy.

Start with the aircraft manual. All the information you requre is there. You may have to plot it out. This is the only information that complies with the C of A.

JP :

I write a table with four columns.

Position Weight Arm Moment

The 1st row is basic a/c empty weight, the following are things like pax, fuel, all that sort of stuff - one row for each different arm position.

I then multiply the weight by the arm to get the moment. Tot up the weights and the moments, divide moments by weight to get actual CG arm, and plot on a chart.

Easy peasy, works for most types. Drop me aline if you want to see a Word doc or Excel spreadsheet for an R-22.
