How does compare to fly a regional service with a medium or long haul ones. Is it more tiring, less boring?

If you were rated on the A318 and the A340 would you prefer to fly long range or regional provided the pay is the same.

The more I get into this flying game the more lifestyle rather than pay becomes important.Regional flying has an overall higher workload and is therefore harder work but less boredom.If I were single longhaul would appeal more so I guess it depends on your makeup/individual circumstances.The answer to your question for me personally would be an A318 but not with a company that considers FTLs a target.
