morning all. Does anyone know the reason for the divert to Darwin on Thursday night? My brother in law was on the flight and wondered what had happened. They weren’t given much information and it’s not a common place for a 380 to go into.

cheers all

EK413 is a departing flight SYD-DXB. It did indeed divert to Darwin:

Along with a Cathay A350 which diverted to Darwin on Friday. Reportedly engine malfunction and then shutdown?

Apologies, flight number unknown. Enroute HKG-SYD.
