In the absence of a handy teenager, what are the best options for Ipads with reliable GPS for Sky Demon use -what size memory would be useful.

Thanks in advance for any replies

I use the ipad pro 10.5 and find it's a little on the large side. Therefore i just use my phone 8. Both are good and do the job.

I definitely suggest iPad Mini. The standard size is just too big for general aviation. Capacity doesn’t matter that much, if you use it just for flying. And for GPS usage, you need model equiped with 3G (cellular).

That's a good point. For most people that have an iPhone a celluar iPad is a waste of money. Not so for aviation because the GPS comes only with the cellular option.

If no cellular (GPS) you can use an external Bluetooth GPS. I use the XGPS160 SkyPro ($150), it works very well.
