B737NG crazy ac or crazy pilot

hi

nice little go around today due shifting winds. Ac in trim but unable to select command. When pressed command just the AP disconnect siren went off even though we had FD.
Secondly the QNH was amber and we were way below transition altitude??

Thoughts?

AP will not engage if in GA mode as only dual channel AP Go Round mode is available, single channel only FD mode available.

What transition alt was in FMC descent forecast page?

My guess is that you were not in trim still. Any input on the control column will prevent the AP from engaging.

As the above poster said, what Trans ALT set in the Forecast page?
