And I thought the Daily Mail over-dramatised things!

Horrendous editing of the clip.

The original real-time one is quite scary with how slowly all of it happened and the crew was evidently unable to correct enough. Memories tracing back to the Pegasus in Samsun....

The video's title on YouTube is way over the top: "Air disaster Boeing 737-9GJER crash ..." Doesn't seem quite right for a slow runway excursion where AvHerald (which only rates it an incident) says "There were no injuries. The passengers disembarked onto soft ground and were taken to the terminal." From the photo, they didn't even use the slides.

Always make sure you have an even spool-up on a 737. Ask the crew of this Indian 737: Accident: Jet Airways B738 at Goa on Dec 27th 2016, runway excursion during rejected takeoff (http://www.avherald.com/h?article=4a2a6d90&opt=0)
What about a run-up at 70%, with a static take-off? It is required with anti-ice on and temps like this.

From what I have experienced there, this is what any SVO savvy pilot expects of reported braking action versus real braking action.
