Hi there, I have a very light, big tyred STOL plane and am looking for a strip close to Sevenoaks in the UK, can be as short as 300 metres. I know of Romney Street (800 metres N-S) but they are full. I have searched online and found a 2003 post of this forum mentioning strips north of Tunbridge Wells but cannot find if these still exist. I can bring my own non-planning permission hangar ... plus I don't fly often as gone in July and August each year ... have flown for decades from private farmstrips, don't make much noise. Thanks for tips and info !

Disappointingly little to find. Only Titsey (http://airfieldcards.com/index.php?a=t&mi=791) came up, I have no idea whether that strip is still active.
Ah, and there's Orchard House field, 1 mile or so East of Crockham Hill.
A bit more distant there's a few: see https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=13/51.1855/0.4513
I suppose I needn't mention Biggin Hill and Rochester?

Thanks Jan. Indeed I am aware of Biggin/Rochester/Laddingford/Old Hay. Thanks to your map I found Crockham Hill near Edenbridge - which sadly is as far as Rochester from me. I will keep looking and shall await comments from others...

Titsey is still operational .
Take a visit to the gliding club at Kenley.
You may find someone sympathetic to your cause.
Particularly if you show a interest in Gliding

I suggest to call Giacomo's restaurant in Sevenoaks Weald, Morley's road. Ask for the microlight airstrip along the railroad, it may still be available. I used it several times many years ago and it was something 280ish meters.
