hi forum..
in A320 POB & WTB used to luck the system and protect the flaps/slat in case of aysmetry and runway ((agree)) ..
why we still use a TORQUE LIMITER in the actuator as well ?

They protect the structure and the actuators from overload damage in case of a jam or transmission failure. They've also got mechanical indicators so you can find which part of the transmission is causing issues when doing inspections.

If you imagine a system jam with the PCU still driving, if you didn't have the torque limiters you could easily break something in the moments before the position sensors detect a fault.

Thanks sir , when did the A/C reaches this case ?
& Does the crew responseble for the fault of flap/slat jam condition during climb phase and resulting the A/C to return to the gate? Details please 😊
