Hi All,

I'm just waiting skill test for PPL in the UK and soon to be starting ATPLs however a spanner has been thrown in the works. My wife to be has now mooted a desire for potential relocation to Canada in the not so distant future. I have done some research and it seems we would have at least hypothetically speaking no issues coming to the country via the Federal Skilled Workers Program. Here lies my queries. My original plans have been to complete my ATPLS here in the uk, hour build in America/Canada before completing my CPL/MEIR over in Europe where it's cheaper before starting my career hopefully at the airline I currently work for as Cabin Crew however what I'm now questioning is whether I would be better off completing just the FAA licenses and then converting over to Transport Canada. If I have the FAA licences I at least have the option of converting to EASA in the future if we end up staying in the UK/Europe but simultaneously saving a fair old chunk of money which could either just be saved or put towards an FI rating ..... or would a better plan be continue with the original plan, find a job and acquire 1500/2000hrs and apply to Air Canada.

Any and all help / criticism is appreciated!

B
