Does any veteran CAA ATCO know if these were ever issued at any British units ? I've seen a few pictures from around the early 1970s showing black headsets with grey earpads and headbands. Similar to the Amplivox Jetlite. Thankyou.

Aah! Made in Watford! Never saw any S. G. Brown headsets but have used S. G. Brown headphones for 'short-wave listening'. Earliest CAA (and predecessors) headsets I remember (MoA, SATCC, mid-sixties) were Amplivox Jetlite. The rubber mic holders would perish and the mics fall out. About the same time there were a few Amplivox Astrolite about.

LATCC had them waaaay back. The most awful thing I ever tried. The Jetlite was superb.

I thought the pics might be of Brown headsets but I've never seen one in the flesh so I couldn't be sure. HD, what didn't you like about them ?
