Miami to BA, really never gets close to the Andes. But over the Amazon, CB's can be very intense. Have seen chains of CB build higher then FL 50. Have diverted a 100NM without finding a good sucker hole. Also as you cross the Caribbean lots of tropical depression can build some mighty big CB's. Just my thoughts.
