Hi everybody

I'm a military pilot (jets) and I have a question regarding the loging of flight hours. In my service we keep track of air time as every air force is doing I imagine. I read about a rule of thumb about adding 10 min prior T/O and 5 min after LDG.
That seems about right but is it correct? Every CAA has its own regulation or it's an EASA issue?

Thanks
So you keep tracking of block hours with what formula?

Start of taxy to shut down in the lines. The aircraft is moving, the intention is to go flying. Doesn't work for compass swings, except for helicopters, where you log 50% of engine time.

Time of take off, time of landing

O-28,

Agreed, certainly in the days when it was a 'Flying Log' rather than an 'Aircraft Handling Log'.
