I think it was a hi-loader (or other ground equip.) which have done some damage. I guess it's been parked in O'hare for a couple of weeks already, so must have been quite serious.

Original estimate, according to ASN, was "out of service for at least 10 days", so that was a tad optimistic. Incident appears to have happened when parked on M4 at ORD's T5.

"The loader kills Finnair's Airbus A330-300 (OH-LTS) at Chicago O'hare International Airport on Tuesday, September 25."

The repairs to Finnair's Airbus A330-300 (OH-LTS) crashed in Chicago in September will continue. As a result, Finnair has to cancel two flights to Bangkok. All in all due to aircraft failure, five long-haul flights have been canceled.

Indeed. It takes a while to recover from that type of damage.

Wonder who ends up paying for all that? The total expenses must be staggering. Then there is the issue of passengers who expect to board a Finnair airplane and instead find its an Air Italy airplane.
