Hi, I'm looking for an english translation of mechanics licencing term.
Here in france for a mechanic you usually have two documents:
- the Part 66 licence issued by the EASA which lists the various categories/sub categories/type ratings you are qualified in
- a sort of licence issued by your company "Carte d'habilitation APRS" (APRS = Certification Release to Service), which indicates which categories/type ratings your company has authorised you to use in your job, along with the relevant code (for example: type rating Cessna 550 with actions A, B1, B2, C)

Can anyone tell me what the equivalent document "Carte d'habilitation APRS" is called in English?

Thanks
Greg

Company approvals or company authorizations.

I would use "letter of authorisation" or "letter of authority" (to sign off). Incidentally, this is not specific to France - check AMC 145 (https://www.easa.europa.eu/sites/default/files/dfu/Annex%20II%20to%20Decision%202015-029-R%20-%20%28AMC-GM%20Part-145%29.pdf).A.65(B)(3)3.
