Dutch authorities seem to have realised their service to VFR pilots is less than comprehensive. Rather than upgrading the FIS to the level of Belgium or France or Germany, they choose to set up a new type of service, they call it REFIS, I understand it to be a "FIR-wide VFR automated information service". It operates from 6 ground stations, with two fre^H^H^H channels, 136.230 for North/Centre, 136.305 for South. Both 8,33 of course.

A neat leaflet, unusually in their own language only, can be found at https://www.knvvl.nl/download/getFile/21555

As I understand things, it is in an experimental phase. The standard FIS frequencies remain available, anyway.
PS when flying in Belgium, be aware a couple of fields are unavailable.

@patowalker: thanks!
