I was 57 whilst learning to be an FI . Hardest course I'd ever done , grey cells lacking , speed of thought slowing , etc.
So a big thank you to my FIC 'destructor and all of that ilk ; you're doing a difficult job as it is. But ageism !
Just collected my OAP , still enjoying blues skies ; and looking forward to my FI reval later this year [ not ! ] .

My oldest student was 72 when he stared his PPL training and 73 when he passed the flight test. A delightful gentleman and one of my favorite students.
