An-26 is down at approach at Khmeimim airbase. Reported that 26 on board and 6 crew is dead. Probably technical malfunction.

There are intresting pictures of the local datum. If local datum has priority, that it can explain such incindents.
AN26 - the difference altitude - 20 m , 3 % it is abt 600 m before treshold of the runway.

The distance beetwin the centerline 28L & 28R is abt 130 m, may be 214 was landing on 28R? The difference in coordinates - abt 80 metres to east
The difference altitude - 15,75 m .

according to this WGS-84 Updates | Jeppesen (http://ww1.jeppesen.com/company/publications/wgs-84.jsp)
both Syria and Iran (your other post) are compliant to WGS-84 datum.
