The word "Boeing" appears in 3 places in the cockpit. Where are they ?

What does the symbol on the course selector knob mean? Why are they opposite for Captain & First Officer.

What is the function of the disc behind the Map Light ?

I am not a professional pilot, but my guesses are:

- The course symbol reminds me of the star pattern known as the Northern Cross -- a navigation aid way in the past.

- I don't know what you mean by "why are they opposite", but it did occur to me that the Captain's course knob is to her right and she would turn the knob with her right hand, while the FO's course knob is to his left, and so he would turn the knob with his left hand. Slightly different viewing perspectives maybe.

- I would guess the disk behind the map light is used to focus or control the intensity of the light beam as needed.

- As for the name Boeing, maybe on some of the required paperwork, like an Airworthiness Certificate and registration document.
