Hello,

my Telex 850 quit duty after 8 years or so. Was a good headset, I might send it in to Telex to overhaul and then keep it as a backup.

Now I am considering the Telex 8 or the David Clark Pro-X

Anyone around who knows those headsets? I know about the pros and cons of batteries used in the DC, but otherwise I cant really decide at the moment.

Any thoughts or recommendations? Will be used in a A319 and GV.

Thanks!

I have the same issue... Have you decided meanwhile for a headset?

Hi - yes I did,

the T850 got refurbished by Bosch and I keep it as a backup. I went for the DC Pro and I am VERY happy with it. Still very light, durable and ANR somewhere between T850 and the crazy Bose.

Cheers!

Thanks for the answer. Not to many reviews for the telex 8 on internet though. I was curious about them also... Safe flights!

I have been using Airman8 for 7 months in B744. For me they are a perfect match of being light, small, non-battery powered, don't block all the environmental sounds and noises and are moderately priced.

Hi "The Old Swedish",

Question about the DC Pro, on the Airbus: how do you hang the headset with its wide head band and the airbus' small hook on the window pillar?

Hang it on the window slide handle.

I think the DC pro X are shockingly bad! They are very uncomfortable indeed. My company have them on our aircraft and I have not come across one operator who actually likes them yet.

I would personally go with the Telex.
